numerous programs and strive to benefit
the entire community of Moreno Valley.
With no shareholders to answer to, MVU
is solely focused on responding to the
community’s needs. The City of Moreno Valley
and MVU quickly adjusted operations in the
wake of the Corona Virus pandemic, to
support local residents and businesses
that have been negatively impacted.
Our goal is to support customers
throughout the duration of this
public health crisis.

Local Non ProfIt GOVERNANCE:
Our electric utility does not answer to any shareholder, so customer money is reinvested in
the community. As part of a local government branch, we hold city council meetings where
residents are free to participate. Resident volunteers also serve as commission members
overseeing electric utility policy making decisions and concerns.
