Sharps Disposal
People with diabetes and other medical conditions must use syringes, needles and lancets every day to control their condition and stay healthy. You can dispose of syringes, needles and lancets (sharps) at Riverside County Waste Management Department (see flyer below) or at our Household Hazardous Waste Collection events.

Sharps Collection Safety Tips
- Do not use glass containers to collect sharps (they can break).
- Do not put sharps containers or loose needles in your trash or recycling bin.
- Do not flush needles or lancets down the toilet.
