RE SPONSE
The City continued to assist residents struggling during the pandemic through various food
delivery programs like MoVal Meals, Senior Eats, and Family Service Association (FSA) food
distribution program. Altogether, these programs delivered 139,409 meals.
Through the Mayor and Council’s successful solicitation of donations for personal protective
equipment (PPE) and the generosity of key stakeholders and businesses, the City implemented
the “We’ve Got You Covered” program and distributed over 650,000 free masks and hand
sanitizers to Moreno Valley residents and businesses.
The MoVal Rental Rescue program was expanded to offer rental assistance support for up to
12 months of unpaid rent, plus an additional three months of future rent for families hit hard by
the effects of the pandemic.
The Coronavirus Resource webpage was created to link residents to trusted information on
vaccination sites, testing locations and local resources.
