MORENO VALLEY UTILITY ANNEX SOLAR CARPORT
COMING SOON!
The Moreno Valley Annex Solar Carport Project, located at City Hall Annex Building parking lot, will include
a 90 kilowatt solar photovoltaic parking canopy system with one Direct Current (DC) electric vehicle Fast
Charger and two Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations. The system will integrate with the kiosk at City
Hall to display real time solar energy production, greenhouse gas emissions savings, and electric vehicle
charging information. The solar system will be directly connected to the utility’s distribution system, helping
MVU to meet its renewable energy requirement. It is anticipated that the project will be completed by
December 31, 2020. This project will be paid for with Public Purpose Program funds.
