Construction Waste
Construction and Demolition (C&D) material typically consists of waste generated during construction, renovation, or demolition of buildings, pavements, or other structures.
The City of Moreno Valley implemented a Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Recycling Program (Chapter 8.80) to divert C&D material from County landfills and to assist the City in achieving diversion requirements mandated by The Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989, AB 939. This program requires that 50% of C&D waste generated at covered projects in the City be diverted from landfill disposal through reuse and recycling. Disposal service must be obtained through the City’s designated franchise hauler, Waste Management.
Waste Management provides roll-off boxes ranging from 10 to 40 cubic yards in size. These boxes are available for temporary or permanent use. Waste Management also offers recycling roll-off boxes for material such as: green waste, wood, concrete and asphalt.
