Utility Box Project

The City of Moreno Valley invites local and regional artists to submit original artwork for the opportunity to transform 32 utility boxes into vibrant public art pieces. This project aims to enhance a sense of place and pride in our community by celebrating Moreno Valley’s history, heritage, culture, and contemporary identity.

Selected designs will be reproduced as vinyl wraps and installed on utility boxes throughout the city, turning ordinary infrastructure into colorful reflections of the City’s spirit. Artists are only required to submit artwork; no physical painting or installation is necessary.

All artwork must be original and suitable for public display. Artists whose designs are selected will receive up to $500 per approved artwork.
