MoVal’s Got Talent
Do you have a special talent to share? If so, we would love to see it — and you might win a prize!
Your family-friendly talent can be anything from singing, dancing, playing an instrument, creating an art piece to telling jokes!
How to Participate
- Record a short one-minute video performance of your special talent and post it on social media with the hashtags #MOVALPARKS and #MVGT with the following info:
- Your name
- Category: youth or adult - Profile must be public in order to participate
- Videos will be accepted from June 22-29
- The event is open to two age categories:
- youth 17 and under
- adult 18 and older
Prizes
On July 1st, the Virtual Talent Show winners will be announced on social media. Prizes will be given to the top four contestants in the youth and adult categories. Be creative and have fun!
Talent Guidelines
Important Dates
- Enter:
June 22-29
- Winners notified:
July 1
- Contestants under 18 must get parent/guardian permission to enter the contest
- Performances must be appropriate for all ages and may not contain profanity or any other offensive or inappropriate subject matter
- Costumes must be appropriate for all ages
- One-minute video must be posted and use hashtags #MOVALPARKS and #MVGT between June 22 – 29 to be considered
- Video is not to exceed one minute
- Profile must be public in order to participate
- In all cases, the decisions of the judges are final
Video Submission Recommendations
- Record your video horizontally
- Record with limited background noise for a clear final product
- If possible, have someone hold the camera or use a tripod
- Position yourself facing a window or outside. If bright lights are on behind you, turn them off
- Look into the lens
- If using a smartphone, tap your image/face on the phone so that the camera will properly focus
- Leave a little room above your head and aim to include at least your head and shoulders in the frame
