Find Your Voice! Challenge for Readers of All Ages at Moreno Valley Public Library

For immediate release: June 1, 2023Find Your Voice Summer Reading Program

Moreno Valley – Take a deep breath and ease into the 2023 Summer Discovery challenge to “Find Your Voice!”

Readers of all ages sign up online at moval.org/mv-library/summerdiscovery or in-person at any Moreno Valley Public Library branch to join the summer-long reading challenge. Summer reading helps prepare children for academic success and benefits everyone with improved analytical thinking, focus and concentration.

Online registration begins Saturday, June 3, and the program runs Saturday, June 10th, through Saturday, July 29th.  Participants receive a free book for signing up, while supplies last.

Summer Discovery readers log their reading online or on paper, then use their logged reading points each week at the library for a prize. Completion of literacy challenges, like attending a storytime, are awarded digital badges. First day features a 10 am Family Literacy Social at Iris Plaza Library, a 10 am Move with Me Toddler Time at Moreno Valley Mall Library, and 1 pm Rock ‘N’ Roll Circus with musician Chris Yates at the Main Library. Final day, Saturday, July 29, ends with an Open Mic finale and prize drawings. For more great summer fun and special performances like Brettso the Great, check out the calendar of events at moval.org/mv-library.

Summer Discovery and Lunch at the Library programs are underwritten by the Moreno Valley Friends of the Library and in part funded by the State Library.
