Moreno Valley Accepting Orders for Military Appreciation Banners, Pavers

The City of Moreno Valley encourages residents to submit applications for Military Appreciation Banners and Pavers by April 19, 2021.
The City installs Military Appreciation Banners and Pavers in support of local military personnel and their families. The program recognizes men and women who have served in the past or are currently serving.
"As member of the State Guard, I hold veterans and my fellow servicemen and women near and dear to my heart," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "Our Military Appreciation Banners and Pavers program is yet another way the City shows it respect and gratitude for all those who wear the uniform."
The Military Appreciation banners are installed on streetlight poles in the area near City Hall and March Air Reserve Base. The honoree must be currently serving in the U.S. military. The cost of designing, producing and installing a banner on a streetlight pole is $150.
Pavers are installed around the Veterans Memorial at the Moreno Valley Civic Center Plaza and are inscribed with the name and branch of service of military veterans and active-duty service personnel. The cost of producing and installing a paver is $200.
Applications for pavers and banners are available online at www.moval.org/vetsmemorial and are due no later than April 19, 2021. Questions can be directed to the City’s Parks & Community Services Department at 951-413-3701.

Moreno Valley Acepta Órdenes Para Letreros y Placas De Apreciación Militar
La Ciudad de Moreno Valley le pide a los residentes que soliciten sus letreros y placas de apreciación militar a más tardar el 19 de abril.
La ciudad instala letreros y placas de apreciación militar en apoyo del personal militar local y sus familias. El programa reconoce a hombres y mujeres que han servido en el pasado o que están sirviendo actualmente.
"En nuestra Ciudad, tenemos en la más alta estima al personal militar en servicio activo y a los veteranos ", dijo el Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Alcalde de Moreno Valley. "Nuestro programa de letreros y placas de Apreciación Militar es otra manera de mostrar nuestro respeto y aprecio por todos los que usan el uniforme".
Los letreros de Apreciación Militar están instalados en postes de alumbrado público en el área cercana a las Oficinas Municipales y la Base de la Reserva Aérea March. El honorario debe estar sirviendo actualmente en el ejército de los Estados Unidos. El costo de diseñar, producir e instalar un letrero en un poste de alumbrado público es de $ 150.
