M to be Lighted in Recognition of Americans with Disabilities Act Awareness Day

For immediate release: July 25, 2020

Moreno Valley’s iconic M on Box Springs Mountain will shine in green the evening of Sunday, July 26, in recognition of Americans with Disabilities Act Awareness Day. The M will be lighted green from dusk to midnight.

“The Americans with Disabilities Act has successfully brought the needs and perspectives of people with disabilities into the mainstream conversation for the past 30 years,” said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley, “and we have all benefited from it.”

The M is lighted almost nightly in recognition of holidays and observances important to the community. To find out why it’s lighted in a particular color, visit www.moval.org/mschedule.

 


La M Se Iluminará en Reconocimiento del Día de la Ley de Americanos con Discapacidades

La icónica M de Moreno Valley en Box Springs Mountain brillará en verde la noche del domingo 26 de julio, en reconocimiento al Día de la Ley de Americanos con Discapacidades. La M se iluminará en verde desde el anochecer hasta la medianoche.

"La Ley de Americanos con Discapacidades ha traído con éxito las necesidades y perspectivas de las personas con discapacidades a la conversación principal durante los últimos 30 años," dijo el Dr. Yxstian Gutiérrez, Alcalde de Moreno Valley, "y todos nos hemos beneficiado de ello."
