RivCo Public Health Says Call Your Doctor with Flu Symptoms
Primary Care Physicians Can Order Coronavirus Test as Needed
For immediate release: March 11, 2020
Riverside County residents who show flu-like symptoms including fever should call their doctor, according to Riverside County Public Health officials. The Department said that primary care physicians can order a coronavirus test if deemed necessary.
Residents in regular care of a doctor are asked not to go to emergency rooms for a diagnosis. And fire stations are NOT offering coronavirus tests.
Residents are urged not to believe social-media rumors about the virus. Instead, said RivCo Public Health officials, we should all rely on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Riverside County Public Health for trustworthy, factual, and up-to-date coronavirus information.
