Moreno Valley Asks Residents to Help Guide City's Development
by Taking Brief Survey

Part of City's General Plan Update Outreach Effort

For immediate release: February 18, 2020

Input from residents is a crucially important part of the City of Moreno Valley's update of its General Plan. To make that process simple, quick and easy, the City has created a brief online survey, available in English and Spanish.

The General Plan is Moreno Valley's guide to all kinds of development in the City, spelling out what can go where and what infrastructure is needed to support it. And the online survey questions for the update process are intended to get residents thinking about their own vision of Moreno Valley in the year 2040.

"This is a chance to help shape the future of the community for years to come," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "We invite all residents to take just a few minutes and tell us what kinds of development the City should pursue in the next 20 years. Please let your voices be heard."

The online survey is available in English and Spanish and only takes a few minutes. Located on the City's website at www.moval.org/2040, the survey can be taken through the month of February. It is the first survey planned for the General Plan Update process, and part of a larger community outreach program that will include public hearings, workshops and other engagement opportunities.
