City earns “Project of the Year” AwardThe Inland Empire Branch of the American Public Works Association has presented the City of Moreno Valley with a “Project of the Year” award for the formation of Moreno Valley Utilities. The project is one of a very few in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties selected for such recognition. Moreno Valley Public Works Director and City Engineer, Trent Pulliam, said “The city’s Enterprise Services Administration staff, along with our consultant ENCO, have worked diligently to get our electric utility up and running since it started in February 2004. To date we have added over 2,100 new customers and this number continues to grow weekly along with the high level of new development in the City. We are very proud to be recognized for our accomplishment from such a prestigious organization as the American Public Works Association,” Pulliam said. The American Public Works Association is a professional association of individuals, public agencies and private sector companies dedicated to providing high quality public works projects and services. It was chartered in 1938 and is one of the largest and oldest organizations of its kind in the world with 27,000 members throughout North America.
