MVTV-3 Community Events Bulletin board wins award

The Community Events bulletin board shown on Moreno Valley's government access channel, MVTV-3, received a third-place award for excellence from the States of California and Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (SCAN NATOA). The award was presented on May 24, 2001, at the association's annual spring conference in Santa Monica.

"We are very excited about receiving this recognition," said Media and Communications Administrator Angela Rushen. "The City's media staff does a fantastic job. I'm very proud of them," she said. In addition to Rushen, the MVTV-3 staff includes Production Coordinator, Steve Jacobs; Video Technicians Louis Rocha, Jarrod Adams and Dominic Durden; and Media Assistant Dan Hitt.

The SCAN NATOA membership is comprised primarily of professionals from California and Nevada who manage and produce programming for city cable channels and oversee cable television franchise agreements. Other members include legal and technical consultants who specialize in cable television and elected/appointed officials who approve and regulate cable television franchise agreements.
