Billing Delays

The City of Moreno Valley is aware of recent billing complications that are causing concern for our customers. These complications are due to replacing the utility billing system and implementing our new automated meter reading system. This is causing delays in generating customer bills and processing some online payments.

Please be assured that we are aware of the situation and are working diligently to resolve the issues. WE DEEPLY VALUE OUR CUSTOMERS. Rest assured that WE WILL NOT DISCONNECT CUSTOMERS FOR BILLING ISSUES, AND WE ARE NOT ASSESSING ANY LATE FEES OR PENALTIES TO OUR CUSTOMERS. WE WILL NOT DOUBLE BILL ANY OF OUR CUSTOMERS, and we will NOT mail customers their December bill immediately before or after their regularly scheduled bill.

We have established special extended payment plans to relieve the financial stress that some may feel, and we encourage you to visit our website at moval.org/mvu to sign up. The process is online and completely confidential. 

Immediately resolving recent billing issues is of the utmost importance for the MVU Team. We appreciate your continued patience and we apologize for the inconvenience. We expect to have our systems up and running normally very soon.
