MVTV-3 wins two 1st place awards

Moreno Valley’s government access cable television channel, MVTV-3, has won two regional awards from the States of California and Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors - more commonly known as SCAN NATOA.

MVTV-3 won a first place Star Award in the Economic Development category for “Moreno Valley: We Mean Business.” SCAN NATOA also awarded a first place Star Award in the Public Safety category for “Safety 1st: Home Burglary Prevention.”
Moreno Valley beat the cities of Hawthorne and Torrance and Irvine and Thousand Oaks respectively. The awards were presented today at SCAN NATOA’s annual conference and luncheon in Santa Monica.

"MVTV-3 just keeps getting better,” said Assistant to the City Manager, Angela Rushen. "Our media team has tremendous talent, and it’s nice to see that skill recognized by peers in our career field,” she said.

Residents will be able to watch these videos later this year when MVTV-3 begins streaming their content over the Internet.

MVTV-3 staff members are: Louis Rocha, Rob Roseen, Robert Lorch, Eric Leung, Steve Jacobs and Angela Rushen.
